Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of the CaptainsBet platform, operated by Optim Development B.V., a company registered and established under the laws of Curaçao, registration number 154511, registered address at Abraham Mendez Chumaceiro Boulevard 03, Curaçao, licensed and regulated by the Curaçao Gaming Control Board (GCB) under Licence Number OGL/2024/225/0601. Payment processing is handled by Amariner Limited (registration number HE 417185), registered at Andrea Kavlou, 13 Petrou & Pavlou, 3085, Limassol, Cyprus. By registering and placing a bet, the customer confirms that they have read, understood and accepted these rules.

1. Eligibility

Bets are accepted from individuals aged 18 or over who agree to these rules. Bets and winnings are only paid out once the bettor has completed identity verification. In case of a breach of these rules, the company may refuse to pay winnings or stakes, and may cancel any bets. The company may also decline any bet without giving a reason.

2. Accounts and registration

Each customer may hold only one account. Only one registration is allowed per person, family, household, computer, IP address, credit/debit card or e-wallet. Registration by persons otherwise associated with an existing customer is not permitted. Players using disposable or invalid e-mail addresses may be banned, without the ability to win or to have deposits refunded.

Duplicate accounts may be closed at the company’s discretion, resulting in: transactions from the duplicate account being terminated; bets and funds added being voided; any bonuses received during the period the duplicate account was active being cancelled; and, at the company’s discretion, a refund being requested if funds were previously withdrawn.

3. Identity verification (KYC)

If the security department has concerns about a customer’s identity or personal details, it may request supporting documents at its discretion and may withhold payments until these are verified. Verification may take up to 72 hours from receipt of documents. If submitted data is found to be false, the company may cancel all bets and suspend the account indefinitely pending full verification. Data handling is described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Betting rules

Betting conditions (odds, handicaps, totals, maximum stake limits) may change after a bet is placed; bets already accepted keep the terms in effect when they were placed, so customers should check the current sports line before betting. Every confirmed bet is valid and counts as acceptance of these rules. Bets on events whose outcome was already known at the time of placement are settled at odds of “1”. Where an event has more than one winner (simultaneous finish), the stake is split between two winners, or settled at odds of “1” if three or more winners are announced. A football match interrupted and not resumed within 24 hours is considered to have taken place, and the bet stands, if the 70th minute had already been reached; otherwise it does not count. A loss of internet connection at the moment of bet confirmation is not grounds for cancelling that bet.

5. Voiding and recalculation

The company may declare bets void, settled at odds of “1”, where there is an obvious error (misprints, an odds mismatch between the sports line and a bet, unfair play, or a breach of these rules). In case of suspected unsportsmanlike conduct, bets may be blocked pending the relevant sporting body’s final decision and voided if confirmed, without an obligation to present evidence to customers. Where clearly erroneous odds were set, the bet is settled based on the final result at the effective odds for that market. Bets settled by mistake are recalculated. No claims are accepted regarding the translation of team names, player names or event locations.

6. Fraud and account misuse

Where fraud is found — including multiple accounts, automated betting software, arbitrage betting, using an account for purposes other than betting, or abuse of loyalty schemes or bonuses — the company may close the account, cancel bets and report the matter to law enforcement. The same applies where a bettor had advance knowledge of an event’s outcome, could influence its outcome, used prohibited software or hardware, or acted together with others (as a syndicate) to exceed set limits. Following an investigation, any remaining balance is refunded, excluding unfair profits. The company does not reimburse payment-system service charges.

7. Complaints

After receiving returns, the bettor should check that winnings are correct. Any disagreement must be reported with the account number, date, time, event, stake, selection, odds and reason for the disagreement. Claims regarding winnings must be filed within 10 days; claims for Cyber-Live game settlement must be filed within 72 hours of the game ending.

8. Responsible gaming (18+)

Use of the platform is restricted to players aged 18 and over. We provide tools such as deposit limits, session reminders and self-exclusion. See our Responsible Gaming page for details.

9. Liability

The company is not responsible for losses or damages arising from use of the site or its content, including inability to access or use the site, delays in operation or data transmission, communication line failures, or errors or omissions in the site’s content. The account holder is responsible for all activity on their account and for keeping it secure; if a third party uses the account, the account holder remains responsible.

10. Affiliates

Affiliates are prohibited from betting or playing on any player account related or connected to themselves. A breach results in that account being deactivated, with all rights and privileges, including commissions, winnings and bonuses, forfeited to the company.

11. Legal restrictions

Before using the site, customers must ensure they are not breaching the gambling laws of their country of residence. Online gambling is prohibited in some countries, and related payments may also be restricted there. The company does not guarantee that its services comply with the laws of the customer’s country of residence; the customer uses the site at their own risk and is solely responsible for knowing the legality of doing so in their jurisdiction. We recommend consulting a lawyer before registering if in doubt.

12. Governing law and changes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Curaçao. The company may add or update these rules at any time; publication on the website marks their immediate effect, and bets placed afterward are subject to the updated rules. The original text of these Terms is written in English; if translated into another language, the English version prevails in case of any discrepancy.
